Valencia Pro Ceramic Nonstick 10" Frypan
A 10-inch hard anodized aluminum frypan coated in GreenPan's Thermolon ceramic nonstick, which starts from a sand-derived solution sprayed onto the pan. The riveted handle is stainless steel, and it goes in the oven to 600°F.
Good to know: Sold without a lid. The handle and rivets are stainless steel, so the pan has no plastic or silicone parts. GreenPan rates it safe for metal utensils and still recommends silicone tools and hand washing.

Why we picked it
The Valencia Pro is GreenPan's hard anodized line, and the 10-inch frypan costs a fraction of a full ceramic set. GreenPan says its Thermolon coating begins as a sand derivative turned into a solution and sprayed onto the pan, with no PFAS in it. Its safety page also lists the cooking surface as free of lead and cadmium. Nothing on the pan is plastic. The handle is riveted stainless steel, and the base works on induction. Anyone moving off Teflon who wants one everyday pan can start here. Ceramic release fades with use, so low to medium heat and a little oil will keep it slick for longer.
